Why you should contribute

Tell us about what you do best!

German Studies is not just about knowing, it is also about doing. Many colleagues have developed new ways to run their academic programs in challenging times. They have installed innovative support for young faculty, they have found new ways of teaching business German, they have boosted their study abroad program by breaking old rules, they have connected to other departments and programs…

Are you one of these people? Adjunct, administrator, Departmental Chair or in between — tell us about it!

Neues Curriculum facilitates a dialogue about innovative projects, highlights successful programs, and describes other ʻbest practicesʼ in German cultural, historical, linguistic, and literary studies. Neues Curriculum is published in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Goethe Institut, the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the German Studies Association (GSA).

We are seeking your experiences and perspectives — through concrete examples of the changes or methods you have used and the results of these policies. We are looking for well written articles that provide an example for others to follow. Regardless of your program size, your curricular focus, or your position as a faculty member: make your ʻbest practicesʼ useful to others!

Articles can be 2-25 pages long and very diverse in format and genre: While we are looking for case studies in the first place, contributions to current debates and the occasional  polemical piece are welcome as well.

Send questions, abstracts or feedback to editors@neues-curriculum.org. Hope to hear from you soon!
